Accessibility Statement

Any communication tool will fail unless people are able to successfully use it.

Keep Posted is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all people, regardless of ability. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Measures to support accessibility

Keep Posted takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of the application and related materials:

Current Limitations

Keep Posted is currently a project run by one person (Robby Macdonell) with limited resources. Should Keep Posted grow into a larger organization, it's expected that investment in accessibility will also increase.

Accessibility efforts that are currently outside of the scope of the project’s resources include:

  • Third party accessibility audits
  • Ongoing user testing and research specifically focused on accessibility
  • Comprehensive testing with assistive technologies

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

As Keep Posted is used to both create and consume content, we also refer to the Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines (ATAG) 2.0 guidelines.

Keep Posted is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA and ATAG 2.0. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Technical specifications

Accessibility of Keep Posted relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.
